Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
The CCNA credential is designed to provide individuals with a broad set of skills to build and support multi-protocol internetworks. Master techniques to utilize the Cisco Internetworking Operating System (IOS). Lab exercises will include internetworking, switches, virtual LANs, and routing. This provides the experience necessary to manage Cisco devices in an enterprise environment.

Introduction to Cisco Network Technology (ICNT)
The first part of the CCNA course is the ICNT class. Topics discussed in this class are: IP and IPX internetworking solutions, OSI layers/subnetting, ethernet and layer 2 considerations, Cisco three-layer hierarchical model, architecture of Cisco devices, configure and maintain routers, command line syntax and hotkeys, console and remote access (via telnet), bootstrap sequence, backup and recovery (TFTP, Hyperterminal, ROMMON), testing connectivity, manage NVRAM and configurations, updates and upgrades, and configuring and monitoring IP and IPX routing.

Interconnect Cisco Network Devices (ICND)
The second part of the CCNA training is the ICND class. Topics discussed in this class are: switching techniques, bridging vs. virtual LAN switching, filtering and loop avoidance, cut-through switching technology, fragment free techniques, selecting routing protocols, routing information protocol (RIP), cisco discovery protocol (CDP), internetworking group routing protocol (IGRP), editing routing tables, choosing the best routing protocol, wide area networking protocols, leased lines, differentiate between PPP, SLIP, ISDN BRI, and HDLC, frame relay and ISDN, maintenance and support, monitoring interfaces, broadcast and security control, and access control lists (IP, IPX).

CCNA Prerequisites
A+ and fundamentals of Networking Infrastructure or equivalent skills
