virtual LANs, and routing. This provides the experience necessary to manage Cisco devices in an enterprise environment.
Introduction to Cisco Network Technology (ICNT)
The first part of the CCNA course is the ICNT class. Topics discussed in this
class are: IP and IPX internetworking solutions, OSI layers/subnetting, ethernet
and layer 2 considerations, Cisco three-layer hierarchical model, architecture
of Cisco devices, configure and maintain routers, command line syntax and hotkeys,
console and remote access (via telnet), bootstrap sequence, backup and recovery
(TFTP, Hyperterminal, ROMMON), testing connectivity, manage NVRAM and configurations,

in this class are: switching techniques, bridging vs. virtual LAN switching,
filtering and loop avoidance, cut-through switching technology, fragment
free techniques, selecting routing protocols, routing information protocol (RIP),
cisco discovery protocol (CDP), internetworking group routing protocol (IGRP),
editing routing tables, choosing the best routing protocol, wide area networking
protocols, leased lines, differentiate between PPP, SLIP, ISDN BRI, and HDLC,
