Learn routing principles of both distance vector and link-state
routing protocols: IP addressing techniques; the theory behind the EIGRP,
OSPF, IS-IS, and BGP routing protocols; and configuration and troubleshooting
information for each protocol. Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize protocols
in a customer's network. Select and implement the appropriate Cisco IOS services
required to build a scalable, routed network. Exam 642-901 BSCI
Course Length: 40 Hours
Building Cisco Multilayer Switched Networks (BCMSN)
Build campus networks using multilayer switching technologies. Manage
network traffic by implementing the necessary admission policies at each layer
of the network topology. Recognize an incorrectly configured multilayer switched
network and restore proper network operations with Cisco devices and external management
tools. Manage redundant links, Inter-VLAN routing, and configure of HSRP for fault-tolerant
environment. Exam 642-811 BCMSN.

road warriors and remote sites. Understand network security strategies mitigate worms, viruses,
and Trojan horse attacks. Setup, configure, and troubleshoot IOS firewalls. Perform device
hardening, One-Step Lockdown and security management features. Configure Intrusion Detection (IDS)
and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) using Access Control Lists (ACLs) to mitigate attacks.
Configure and verify Frame-Mode Multi-Protocol Layer Switching (MPLS)."
Exam 642-825 ISCW.

Build knowledge and skills in optimizing and providing effective QOS techniques for converged
networks. Work with Voice over IP (VoIP), Quality of Service (QoS) and VLAN security management.
Learn to understand and manage bandwidth, congestion and prioritization. Setup and configure
wireless security using SSID, WEP and LEAP. Learn to configure QoS for WAP. Understand traffic
shaping and policing. Configure Network-Based Application Recognition (NBAR) to monitor and maintain
corporate standards.
