XML Structure and Syntax
Learn the core concepts, technologies, and methods of XML. Technologies covered will
include XML, XSL, and XHTML. You will develop a solid understanding of XML, be able to
create Document Type Definitions (DTDs) and Schema, develop well-formed and valid XML documents,
as well as create XSL stylesheets and use them to render XML on a web page.

Transformation and Rendering of XML
Learn how to transform XML document data into HTML, XHTML, and other markup formats. Use the
XSLT transformation language to create useful structures on the Web Client and the Document Object
Model (DOM) parser built into Internet Explorer. Develop a solid understanding of XML namespaces and
use JavaScript to search and sort XML data. Covers XML, XSL, XSLT, CSS, JavaScript, Xpointer, and Xpath.

Server-side Web Applications
Build web-based applications from scratch using server-side technologies to supply,
store, and manipulate XML data and structures. Course focuses on using databases
and server-side scripting in Personal Home Page (PHP) and Active Server Pages (ASP)
to dynamically create XML documents and stylesheets and gather, store, and maintain
application data. Program flow and control mechanisms will be emphasized. Includes XML,
XSLT, CSS, SQL, ASP, PHP, DOM, ADO, ODBC, MySQL, and MS Access.

Microsoft .Net Framework: Web-Based Client Development
In this class you will learn how to create and configure a Web application. Add Web server controls.
Write an ASP.NET handler to generate images dynamically for display. You will work to integrate data
by using ADO.NET, XML, and Data-Bound Controls Manage connections and transactions of databases.
Manage XML data with the XML Document Object Model. Use XmlReader and XmlWriter. Create custom web site,
composite server and web controls that inherit from the WebControl class.
